Cuckoo Restaurant

The Cuckoo Restaurant is located in pretty Olinda along the Mount Dandenong Tourist Road. The charming building is designed in the Bavarian Chalet Style boasting staggered gabled roofs with scalloped edging and decorative window shutters.

The Cuckoo Restaurant offers a delicious smorgasbord beginning with Soup of the Day, followed by a range of Fresh Seafoods and European delicacies to tempt the taste buds. Our Main Meal Buffet includes Roasts, Vegetarian Dishes, other delightful Meat Dishes, German Sausages and traditional Bavarian Dishes, as well as a full Salad Bar and fresh Cold Meat Platters.

The huge Dessert Buffet includes Cold Desserts, Fresh Fruit Salad and Fruit Platters, Continental Cakes and Pastries plus our famous Pancakes made fresh as you make your selection. 

The Entertainment

Live entertainment is provided most days by a variety of musicians and performing artists including yodelling equal to any in Switzerland or Bavaria. Guests are invited to join in the fun and frivolity and our evening entertainment also includes our famous wood-chopping slap dance.

Minstrels add to the atmosphere of celebration and it's hard not to join in with toe tapping and plenty of clapping.

If you are lucky Elvis may make a visit as part of the unique evening floor show.

Throughout the year the Cuckoo Restaurant hosts other bands for special functions.
